Come and have a nose around ED's Stuff

10–12 The Old High Street, Folkestone, Kent

--

Well, you’ve found the website. Now come and find the shop.
We’re at 10–12 The Old High Street, right next to Steep Street Café - which has excellent coffee and things to eat - and directly opposite the entrance to Payer’s Park Car Park. So, you can park, wander across the road and come and have a peek.

We’re open Wednesday to Saturday, 11am–5pm, and Sunday, 11am–4pm.

And what exactly is in Ed’s Stuff?
Stuff. Obviously.
But not just any old stuff.

Ed’s Stuff is designed and created uniquely by Etiene and David.

We have a fabulous feature wall (big) with around 90 decoupage plates, all decorated by hand. Most start life as vintage plates, then get a bit of Ed’s treatment and come out the other end looking very different; chintzy, cool, popping full of different colours. The designs are always changing, so there’s usually something new to spot. We’ve just created a new plate with a hamster who’s driving along with the line “the horrors persist but so do I”!

Away from the wall we have an eclectic mix of stuff from funky cushions to crazy coasters to ceramics, from aprons to cards not forgetting of course tea towels and tiles.

Then there are our three brilliant guest artists.

Peter Chater creates drawings that are raw, emotional, engaging and quite difficult to walk past without having a proper look.

Gary makes wonderful trivets from reclaimed Chatham Dockyard rope. Small, medium or large. They’re lovely to look at, beautifully made and - this is important - they smell fantastic.

Yes. Smell them.
We’re serious.

And then there’s Helen, whose jewellery is completely unique and made using reclaimed silver recovered from NHS X-rays. A bit bonkers, a bit beautiful and very good for presents. Or presents for yourself. We won’t tell anyone.

So, if you’re wandering around Folkestone, come and have a nose.

You might find something you love.
You might find something you didn’t know existed.
You might just come in to sniff a trivet.

Either way, give us a wave.
